If you are a home owner, by now you should have received your new “Notice of Valuation” from your county assessors office. These values are based on value as of January 1, 2010. Comparisons are based on neighborhood sales from June 30, 2006 thru June 30, 2008. If you believe your value to be lower than the county has assessed your home, you only have until June 1st to protest. These values is what your property taxes will be based on for taxes due & payable for 2011.
