August showed improvement in the Denver metro area, comparison to August 2010. Although the average sales price fell to $261,000 compared to $270,000 in August 2010. The number of properties rose from August last year. Aug 2011 there were 3973 properties sold vs 3028 in August 2010. (Up 31%)
The listing inventory definately still remains much lower than last years active properties on the market. Down 35%, right now there are 16,631 properties on the market (compared to last years 25,598)
With mortgage interest rates at their lowest in decades, now is definately a great time to be a buyer.
