Denver Metro Real Estate Statistics are Out for March 2012

The housing market in metro Denver continues on the rebound! Total properties sold are up 8.3% compared to this time last year (up 11.1% for the year) and the average sales price increased to $259,000 – up 3.6% from last year! Our active inventory continues to be MUCH lower than last year, down -41.7%. With the incredibly low interest rates, and the low inventory, buyers getting into the market are finding they have to scramble on the new listings hitting the market. In some cases, if a buyer isn’t viewing the home the day it hits the market, they will find it under contract fast. Multiple offer situations seem to be the norm on nice homes priced right. If you’ve been thinking of selling, NOW IS THE TIME! With sales prices rising and the low inventory, now is the perfect opportunity.
